Default 2002 TJ Magna 180,000km service items

    Hi guys and girls
Going to service my partner's 2002 TJ magna this week and wanted your input on parts required or areas I need to attend to.
There's a decent oil leak possibly from cam cover as well as a clunk or creak from front end when going over bumps sounds like struts or front bar moving?

Will be checking and bleeding brakes and fluid.
As well as standard items below.
Any help with part numbers would be great.

Door seals remove and lithium grease runners.

Windows window seals remove window clean and add Selleys 410g N Mastic Sealant
    I/N: 1230169

Rear light restick to window using black silicone.

Metal support brackets on front end worn possibly? Rose joint or bearing tophat?

    Auto Trans fluid Sp3 ATF 5l $47.50 / 65 including
    Engine oil $35.35 5l 15w50
    Oil filter z456 $10+-
    Auto Trans filter? Not needed??
    Fuel filter?
    Air filter?
    Power steering fluid?
    Brake fluid DOT4?

    Any advice would be great
If you can make it concise and help with my shopping list or add parts or things I should check let me know.
    Thanks again!
    James

I change the coolant and brake fluid every couple of years. Also check when the trans fluid was done. And how old are the belts?

Will be doing all fluids. Belts are beyond me so will do all I can bar those. I heard sparkplugs on these cars require alot of other part removal for access? Are cam cover gaskets hard?

my lower control arms were shot at 178k, yours might be too, but that'll take a front end place to check, I guess.

Unless you have an external trans filter that can't be changed without opening the gearbox - (and I think the external trans filters were discontinued after the TH).

    Yeah I couldn't see one.
Are most parts for these available from Supercheap or is there cheaper parts stores for stuff?
Apart from Trans fluid which I've read here must be benuine mitsi can the rest be equivalent?

I've been using Castrol Transmax and Penrilte HPR 10 for a few years with no issues

    Jimmy,
Given the history of the car, you might want to give it over to Mal at Mitsfix to do timing belt/water pump etc. You mention oil leaks and spark plugs. Any work around the rear bank of 3 cylinders requires the air plenum to be removed. You might save yourself some hassles if you get some proper analysis of the car. Mal is in Bayswater.
Your query about the site and the level of activity on it: the number of these cars around is getting less and many members are retiring. But I can tell you that the amount of first class advice on the is site is second to none and it is a huge information resource for any one doing their own repairs/maintenance. Many new cars dont even have sump plugs any more and , chocked to the rafters with computers, many modern cars are unmaintainable.
God luck with your family heirloom.
